Believe to Achieve

Welcome to our school! Alderton Junior School is a growing 2 to 3 form entry Junior School for pupils between the ages of 7 to 11 years. We are a forward-thinking school, working in collaboration with 15 other local schools as part of the Epping Forest Schools Multi-Academy Trust. Situated in Loughton, Essex, close to transport links in to Central London but with the countryside, community feel of the Epping Forest Area.

Our vision is clear, to provide pupils with a thorough education without any limits. We do our best to make sure that each day is outstanding for every child as an individual and as part of our wider school community. We have a strong focus on working as the Alderton family, with strong links with the Alderton Infant School whom we share our school site, ensuring every child is nurtured in a positive, engaging and purposeful learning environment.

On the 1st September, 2018 we joined the Epping Forest Schools Partnership Trust and I feel very proud and privileged to be Head Teacher, working with parents and the amazing pupils who attend our school. We are a school who believe every moment counts and everybody matters, always.

Alderton Juniors provides nearly 250 children with exciting learning opportunities that enhance their academic as well as social and physical development. We are very well supported by an active Parents’ Association and parents who are overwhelmingly positive about our school. Alongside our ambitious Governing Body, we have an unwavering desire for the children to receive the very best, all-round education so that they are confident, independent and ready for the challenges of the wider world.

If you are a prospective family and you’d like to see our school in action, please give us a call to make an appointment as we’d be very pleased to show you around. Please contact our admin team on 0208 508 2521 or email at

We very much look forward to welcoming you to our school.

Yours sincerely,

Miss K Johnson
