We would like to foster a feeling of community and identity within our school. For this reason, we ask children to wear clothes in these colours.
Please note:
Below is a list of clothing that can be worn in Summer weather:
Pupils should come to school dressed in their P.E kit on their P.E. days.
Your child will need :
During winter months, children can wear plain grey, black or maroon jogging bottoms over the top of their maroon shorts and a maroon school jumper over their PE t-shirt.
As of September 2023 there is an option to buy a black hooded jumper with the school logo from Forest casuals, to be worn only on PE days or for school sporting events.
Note: All jewellery (including earrings) must be removed for P.E and Games. Children must be able to remove these items themselves.
For Playtimes
As an OPAL school, we aim to be outside as much as possible. For this reason, we require children to have a pair of wellington boots and waterproof trousers in school to be used at break times and during Forest School sessions.
For House Events
Once enrolled children will be placed in one of the school Houses. We have four houses at the school called Connaught, Fairlop, Lee and Roding chosen because they are local rivers or lakes in the area.
Our house system fosters teamwork and encourages participation in exciting school-wide events across different year groups. During these events, your child will have the opportunity to represent their House and we encourage children to wear a plain colour T-shirt in the house colour. This can be a plain t-shirt they already have, or you can purchase the respective colour with the school logo from Forest Casuals.
Water Bottles
All children should bring to school everyday a water-bottle that can be held in class (this should be in addition to the drink in a home packed lunch).
Reminder to label!
Please can we remind all parents and carers to clearly label the items their children bring in to school so that lost items can be easily returned. Commonly misplaced items are coats, jumpers, cardigans, water-bottles and lunch boxes, therefore it is especially important to label these.
