Dear parents and carers,
May I extend a warm welcome to you from The Alderton Junior School. We very much look forward to welcoming you all to our Alderton Family in the new academic year. We are a forward-thinking, supportive and caring community who provide a high quality curriculum and learning offer that is personalised to all of our pupils' strengths and needs. Your pupils will be supported to develop their independence, their reasoning and thinking skills, have opportunities to have key responsibilities, build strong friendships and be cared for by a dedicated and compassionate staff team.
We recognise that this year is unlike any other, in that we cannot arrange for the same face to face transition sessions as we would have every other year. However, we have been working to provide you all with a comprehensive offer of key information to support transition to our school for you and your child.
Below, you will find useful guidance for parents on life at our school, a welcome presentation from the staff and I, useful videos for you and your child and other useful links. We will continue to update this page with any further details, including a transition morning for your child to meet their new class teacher, as these arrangements are confirmed with The Alderton Infant School and other Infant settings.
We hope that you will find this page useful and very much look forward to meeting you all soon.
Miss K Johnson
