SEND – The Alderton Junior School – School SEND Information Report

Providing for Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) is a key part of a successful inclusive school (please see the links here for copies of the school’s  SEND Policy, Equalities Policy and Accessibility Plan). At The Alderton there is a shared expectation that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, should be offered inclusive, quality first teaching which will enable them to make the best possible progress and feel that they are a valued member of the wider school community.

This information report forms part of the Essex local offer for SEND provision. For more information click here.

Many children within the The Alderton community will require additional support at some time in their school career. A short boost of support in a specific area may be all that is needed to put one child’s progress back on track whilst another may require a longer term solution.
