Towards the end of February some of the year 4 key worker children had the opportunity to plant 12 new fruit trees around the school grounds, adding to our orchard and introducing plum and pear trees to our beautiful school grounds.
Cross-Country House Competition
On Friday the 13th March, we hosted our first Cross-Country House Competition. The event was an exciting and challenging race which led the children around the school grounds.
.....and the winning team was Connaught! (yellow)
Today all pupils across the school have been celebrating the magic of maths during our 'Number' day. The purpose of the day was to raise money for the NSPCC, whilst also raising the profile of Maths within our school. In order to raise money, we have come into school wearing clothes with numbers on or a more creative way of expressing numbers.
Times Tables Rock Stars
This week all pupils have made an amazing start on Times Tables Rock Stars. As a school we have been so impressed with their effort , participation and engagement. We focused on participation and rock speed this week and were blown away by the results.
Fastest Rock Speed - Riley (Year 6) - 1.42 seconds
Participation - Daniel (Year 3)
We are hoping all children will continue to Rock Out on Times Tables Rock Stars.

Reading Area Competition
Last term, our Reading Ambassadors held a competition where each class designed and created their own reading area based on a theme of their choice. All classes got very creative and the Ambassadors found it very difficult to choose a winner.
Some of their favourites were...
Aldrich-Blake's 'leap into a good book' jungle themed reading area.
Rowling's 'Hogwarts' inspired reading area.
Imafidon's 'fantasy' reading area.
Perry's 'Egyptian' themed reading area.
And congratulations to our well deserved winners. Kane class with their amazing 'Narnia' inspired reading area.
I know the children can't wait to get reading in their exciting and engaging reading areas!
